About the event
You can make a real difference to the future of biodiversity simply by planting the right plants. Learn how native plants sustain moths, butterflies, and by extension, birds and other wildlife. We'll look at how to select and use native plants to literally bring your garden to life! See how native plants can be used in suburban landscapes and learn cultural practices to maintain the look you want while still providing a viable wildlife habitat.
Kim Rowe is the Monmouth Chapter Leader of the Native Plant Society of NJ, and co-chair of the Native Plant Society’s initiative to support Independent Garden Centers and landscapers in the transition to native plants. She holds a BS degree in horticulture, is a Rutgers Environmental Steward, and has a lifelong interest in gardening and the green industry.
