Cloudie with
a chance of Play!

This is a book you can play with your children. Do you remember looking up at the clouds and seeing different things? Some adults tell me they still do this! So do I!

In this book, Cloudie looks down on some children and plays with them by reforming himself to see if they can guess what he is. Told in verse, children can learn that there is a clue in what word will complete the rhyme.

Recommended for ages: 3 – 8

Adventure on
Gallop Ghosts Islands

Olive and some wonderful new friends were about to embark on not one, but several amazing adventures in the ocean, through the woods, and in the sky before landing in a strange place called Gallop Ghosts Islands.

This is a story of friendship, bravery, teamwork, and problem-solving using the unique skills of each of the characters.

Children learn about real animals, their habitats, and fascinating skills.  They use these skills to overcome many challenges in their adventures.  Children also LOVE the silly jokes delivered by the Blue-footed Booby.

Recommended for ages: 5 – 10

I highly recommend this book for children of all ages! The characters are colorful & adorable, both descriptively & by illustration. Their friendship, teamwork & acceptance of each other's diversity are important lessons.

I liked that Olive could change colors. I also liked that Olive made friends outside of the ocean. The best part was that friends showed, where they lived. Another thing, I liked was that the illustration was really nice. I recommend this book to my friends.

I read this to my granddaughter, 6 years old, in one sitting. She loved the jokes but also learned quite a bit.

Who Let The Dogs In?
A Cranky Cat Changes Her Tune!

A spoiled cat, Pumpkin, tells a story about two dogs who came to live with her, ruining her quiet life and tidy house. The dogs, Betsy and Barkey, became great friends and played roughly every day until something terrible seemed to be happening to Barkey’s legs. Everyone was concerned, but then a wonderful solution was found. And ultimately Pumpkin has a change of heart.

This story is told in verse and portrayed in amusing illustrations. It is written to appeal to preschool and young readers, but sure to be enjoyed by any age dog or cat lover!

Recommended for ages: 3 – 8

“What sets Warner's tale apart is its authenticity, rooted in the real-life experiences of the author's beloved pets. Through the characters of Betsy and Barkey, Warner pays homage to the resilience and spirit of animals facing adversity, while also celebrating the enduring bond between humans and their furry companions.

Warner's lyrical prose infuses the story with rhythm and melody, making it a joy to read aloud and share with loved ones.”
